2012 LGBT Job Fair
Who: Inclusive Employers and Job Seekers of All Backgrounds In difficult economic times like these – when the flexibility to increase monetary compensation is constrained – organizations must rely more on broad “quality of work” benefits to keep its workforce engaged. Many companies recognize that having fully inclusive nondiscrimination policies and domestic partnership benefits helps attract and retain the best talent. The LGBT Center of Raleigh invites you to join other job seekers and local employers in support of a Jobs Fair hosted by the LGBT Center of Raleigh. The LGBT Center of Raleigh is currently providing Skills to Succeed interview and resume workshops for local LGBT individuals and their straight Allies. The culmination of these workshops we be a fully-inclusive Jobs Fair on May 1st, 2012, which will be free and open to anyone looking for a job in the Triangle area regardless of age, education history, employment status, race, religion, ability, sexual orientation, sex, or gender identity. By bringing together companies of all types – from food and hospitality to technology and finance – with inclusive and diverse workplaces, we are certain that the best talent will attend this job fair. We will also be providing free workshops to help job seekers enhance their ability to land a job. Walk-ins are welcome, but job seekers are encouraged to please register here. Pre-registration will help us gauge attendance and collect vital demographic data of the local job seeking community. All information will be kept confidential and will not be shared with others. Registration may also be completed the day of the event. Those who pre-register will receive email updates with the most current information about the Job Fair, as well as tips for getting the most out of the Job Fair.
