First Friday Art and Wine Receptions 2012

First Friday Art and Wine ReceptionThe LGBT Center of Raleigh is proud to participate in Downtown Raleigh’s First Friday Gallery Walk as a member of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. The Center remains open from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm the first Friday of each month. As the Triangle’s only venue showcasing LGBT artists, the Center dedicates each First Friday to a featured artist’s exhibition opening; the artwork is exhibited for the entire month. While viewing the exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to chat with the artist, enjoy complimentary refreshments, network with LGBT community members and allies, and learn more about the Center’s initiatives and library.

The LGBT Center of Raleigh is thankful to have been so warmly received by Raleigh’s community and plans to become an even more robust fixture on the First Friday Gallery Walk through its continued promotion of LGBT artists. Be sure to visit every First Friday to check out the new exhibition, catch up with friends, and learn how the Center is working to accommodate the needs of the Triangle’s LGBT community and its allies. Your presence makes a difference! See y’all next First Friday!

If you or someone you know is interested in participating as a First Friday featured artist or if you would like to volunteer on the Center’s First Friday Committee, please contact the Center’s First Friday Coordinator, Matthew Mirarchi, at .

Please check back frequently to view the Center’s updated First Friday artist schedule for 2012!
