Do You Have Your OutBand Yet?
Support OutRaleigh 2012 and show your pride by wearing the official “OutBand” for OutRaleigh’s 2012 street festival to be held on Saturday, May 5th.
OutBands are available for a minimum $5 donation to the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
You can get your OutBand several ways:
- Stop by the Center during regular hours and get one.
- Get one at any of these Pre-Festival Events:
- Earth Day Celebration at the Center, Sunday, April 22nd, 2-3:30 pm
- The Great Cookie Krumble at the Center, Sunday, April 29th, 2-4 pm
- Business Networking Event at The Borough, Wednesday, May 2nd, 7-9 pm
- Deep South Pre-Festival Party, Thursday, May 3rd, 7-11 pm
- First Friday Art & Wine Reception at the Center, Friday, May 4th, 6-9 pm
- OutRaleigh 2012 Kick Off Party at Spy Bar, Friday, May 4th, 8-11 pm
- Women’s Pre-Party at The Hive, Friday, May 4th, 8-10 pm
- Get one at the LGBT Center of Raleigh booth at OutRaleigh 2012 on Saturday, May 5th.
- Order one online (along with any number of raffle tickets) and pick your OutBands & Raffle Tickets up at the Center.
But the OutBand is not just a great souvenir of the event. Everyone who purchases an OutBand will also be entered into a raffle for an iPad (the new one).

You can host an official LGBT Center of Raleigh Oscar Party during the 84th Academy Awards (The Oscars) on Sunday, February 26!
House parties that benefit the LGBT Center of Raleigh are fun!
- The host(s) of the party provides the venue, hors d’oeuvres, and beverages.
- The Center provides name tags, sign-in sheets, brochures, and donation cards.
Each of 10 or more Oscar Parties throughout the Triangle and beyond will be “connected” throughout the evening via the Center website and on Facebook. Share your photos and your fun!
Each party will text “donation updates” to the Center allowing us to update the Official Oscar Party web page where everyone can track contributions made at each party. Will your party have the most people and the most fun?

Dear Friends and LGBT Supporters,
In November, I came onboard as the LGBT Center of Raleigh’s new Executive Director, and I’m still overwhelmed with your tremendous support.
Thanks to your contributions, the Center continues to expand and grow. Here are just a few of the wonderful events that took place in 2011 because of you:
Through your support, we were also able to fulfill our long-term goal of opening the largest LGBT library in the Triangle, with over 1000 books! In 2011, we also launched new programs and services, including the Transgender Initiative, N.A.I.L. (No Accidents in Life) and the Gay and Gray Initiative.
The LGBT Center of Raleigh is your community center. We exist to serve you - our entire LGBT community, and its friends and allies.
In this uncertain economic time, the Center counts on your support – now more than ever.
