Schedule of Events:

- 6:30pm: Author Reading and Book Signing with Lambda Literary Award finalist Tom Mendicino
About the Author: Tom Mendicino began publishing his short fiction in 2005 and, since that time, his work has appeared in numerous anthologies. His debut novel PROBATION was named a 2011 American Library Association Stonewall Book Award—Barbara Gittings Literature Award Honor Book and was a Lambda Literary Award finalist. Tom attended UNC Law School, and while at Chapel Hill, he published one of the first student-authored articles on AIDS and the Law in The University of North Carolina Law Review. He now lives in Philadelphia with his partner of over thirty years.
Tom’s first novel, PROBATION, is a smart, engaging, witty, sad, and unusual novel set in NC. PROBATION gets you thinking about the complicated nature of family and love. This timely and provocative novel explores how a closeted gay man’s decision to marry impacts his life and the people he loves, and what happens when the lies unravel. His second novel AWAY, IN A MANAGER is being published in the collection REMEMBERING CHRISTMAS this month.
Visit the Library during Regular Center Hours any day of the week.
