Advanced Directives and Provisions for Wills

HealthWorksSunday Seminar Series
May 20th • 4-5 pm

Hosted by Daire Roebuck, a Raleigh estate planning attorney, this conversation will cover the importance of having Powers of Attorney and Health Care Powers of Attorney in place for LGBT people and their partners. We will also discuss major points to cover when thinking about your Will: who to leave your property to, how to choose an Executor, and the importance of naming a Guardian for young children.

Participants can leave the seminar with a valid Living Will and Healthcare Power of Attorney.

Financial HealthThis Sunday 3/18 at 4 pm, we will host our second HealthWorks seminar. This time it’s about Financial Health. The good people at Triangle Family Services are presenting “Ways to Save,” their core budgeting class that explains why and how to create a budget, along with lots of money-saving tips. The 1½ hour seminar is FREE!

The HealthWorks committee has planned a recurring seminar series to bring health education, awareness, and resources to the LGBT Community in an atmosphere where we all feel welcomed and encouraged. The seminars are planned for every third Sunday of the month.
