Youth and Family Services were determined to be one of the major focuses for the services of the Center. Currently the center has revamped its programs to better serve a larger population.
YOUTH
Making it Better Youth Service Projects
This new program will consist of larger service projects that provide a community service and create a memorable experience for the youth involved. Currently, we are looking for 3-4 project coordinators to help organize and execute each project. More information and volunteer postings will be up shortly.
ASPYRE Weekend
Since youth & young adults, are the most equipped to create change in your community and school, the center is planning to hold another youth leadership and activism event in 2012. Go to the page to find out more about the volunteers we are seeking to make this a reality.
North Carolina GSA Network
This is the inital year of development for the program. We will be seeking out GSA clubs throughout North Carolina that are interested in getting access to more resources and a support network to help grow their clubs. We are seeking adult volunteers and students involved in a North Carolina GSA Club. Click above to find out more information. Adults for LGBTQQ Youth Committee
This new center committee will be a boosters of sorts to raise awareness and funding for the center's youth programs. We are currently seeking a core committee of volunteers to help grow this group. More information will be posted shortly.
FAMILY
LGBT Parents Night Out
Coming Soon! This new center program will allow parents to drop off their children with teen and adult volunteers that will provide a safe and entertaining environment. This way the parents can go out worry-free and have a more affordable method of childcare. We are currently seeking a lead program coordinator and teen volunteers interested in working at the drop-off site. Please click above for more information.
