    Description:

    PFLAG Triangle

What's Love Got To Do With It? Promoting Healthy Relationships Among LGBTQ Youth! For our PFLAG Triangle educational program, we'll be joined by Sarah Murray and Jessica Perkins Thompson of the Durham Crisis Response Center and a panel of LGBTQ youth. Potluck at 6:30pm preceding the program! Youth are especially encouraged to attend but the program is open to all.

This workshop will bring together a panel of youth that will be discussing what teen dating violence* looks like for LGBTQ young people. They will also inform us how parents/caregivers/adults in their lives can best be supportive. In addition, the youth will imagine together what healthy, consensual relationships for LGBTQ folks can look like. Participants will be provided with information on national statistics, statewide mandated reporting guidelines, and local resources.

*Teen dating violence is used as an umbrella term for many non-consensual and violent/aggressive behaviors (e.g. stalking, sexual harassment, bullying, physical violence, etc.)
