Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers at Pride

The LGBT Center of Raleigh offers many opportunities for involvement. Our volunteers serve in a variety of capacities mostly pertaining to staffing the Center. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, greeting visitors to the Center, answering phone calls, responding to inquiries with information or referral services, assisting with our library, and participating in special projects. Volunteers are also offered many opportunities to help with the setup, run and breakdown of our special events.

If you are interested in volunteering with the Center, fill out our volunteer profile to attend one of our orientations and learn more about becoming a volunteer. During the session, you will learn about our programs and have an opportunity to meet our staff members and key volunteers. We offer new volunteer orientation at the Center the first Saturday of every month at 11:00 AM. Walk-ins are welcome; however, refreshments will be provided, so we prefer that you register at least 24-hours in advance to allow us enough time to plan accordingly.

For more information, please email us.
