A New Year and a new chance to show the LGBT community you support them!
Not sure how? Join the Raleigh Allies on February 16 at 7 pm at the LGBT Center of Raleigh for a discussion on basic concepts frequently used in discussions regarding the LGBTQ Community. This event is a perfect opportunity to educate friends or family members about the LGBTQ Community and to introduce them to our LGBT Center.
Light refreshments will be served. Individuals of all identities are welcome and encouraged to attend! We mingle until 7:30 then start the talk.
Founded by active ally volunteers in early 2014, Raleigh Allies is a resource for our friends and family (and those of LGBT individuals) to help better educate and foster dialogue that helps to further educate others. More so, we hope to be an entry point for people who may not necessarily consider themselves a part of the LGBT community and help encourage a transition from passive support to active engagement in furthering the cause of Equality. The program is not just limited to heterosexual individuals however, and anyone who considers themselves an ally to a sexual or gender minority are welcome!
