Raise your glass and celebrate radical self-expression at Women, Words, and Wine this March. Enjoy an evening with friends and experience tasty hors d'oeuvres from Seoul 116, a gastropub located in Glenwood South.
This is your opportunity to meet other LGBTQ women in Raleigh and discover what the Women's Initiative is all about. Your participation changes the narrative of how women unite and converse over queer women's issues.
RSVP is required. Don't wait! Reserve your space on Meetup now.
The Women's Initiative is a program of the LGBT Center of Raleigh. Our group is a community for LGBTQ female-identified and gender non-conforming women to come together for friendship and intellectual exchange. We raise consciousness on feminist and philosophical issues; and of course, do so by interacting over a glass of wine (scheduled on the second Friday of every month).
The Women's Initiative is a program run for, on, and by women. Events are managed by Program Director Lex, a female-identified and self-described queer butch woman. The group's priority is to include a range of diversity in its programming. If you're interested in volunteering, please visit the Get Involved section on the LGBT Center of Raleigh website.
Women, Words, and Wine is an event for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender female-identified and gender non-conforming women aged 21 or older. All races, gender expressions, physical abilities, and professional fields are welcome. Allies are encouraged to attend our speaker events or contact the Allies program at the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
To participate, you must RSVP on Meetup to save your space at the table. You don't want miss this event - sign up now and meet local queer women.
