    Description:
Keeping in Touch: Therapeutic Touch Techniques to Keep You Sane While Staying Home

Physical touch is vital for our health and wellness. With social distancing still in effect, finding ways to support this need can be difficult.

In this workshop, we will invite individuals, pairs, and groups of people who are sheltering in place together an opportunity to experience guided therapeutic touch with a professional bodywork therapist. Therapeutic touch helps regulate the nervous system, helping people feel calmer, more in their bodies, and a little less achy, too.

The workshop will begin with guided breathing and an invitation to receive touch, then we will move into some simple holding techniques from Somatic Experiencing (SE) and therapeutic massage.

What to "bring" to the e-workshop:

    • If attending solo, small beanbags, eye pillows, or clean socks filled with rice and/or beans
    • A hot water bottle or heating pad
    • A comfy space to sprawl out
    • Your beautiful self
