The Youth and Family Initiative works to support, engage and empower LGBTQ+ youth in North Carolina.
The youth leadership team is made up of a partnership of youth leaders and adult volunteers who work to support the youth's organizing efforts. This allows the programs to be youth led while providing the support and encouragement for the programs to reach more youth in our growing service area. At this time we have a local presence for our on going events, but a statewide reach with our online and annual leadership camp.
THE YOUTH LEADERSHIP TEAM
Our Youth programs are coordinated by our Youth Leadership Team that is made up of youth in the Triangle Region that make all programming decisions and coordinate the programs in partnership with our adult volunteers. More information here.
We are now recruiting adult volunteers to assist the programs as team advisors and event volunteers. For more information contact our Youth Programs Manager and Youth chair by clicking here.
We are currently collecting contact information for Counselors, GSA leaders and advisors to update you on new resources available as our programming continues to develop and other area opportunities continue to come available. Please contact our Communications Chair by clicking here to get more information.
