Lydia is a native of Wake County and current resident of Durham. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has worked in hospice care, behavioral health services and case management. She currently works as a Healthcare Compliance Investigator with Public Consulting Group in Raleigh, NC.

A founding team member of The Vote Against Project in 2011, Lydia worked as the project’s Recruitment Coordinator/Tour Manager in an effort to educate our state regarding NC’s harmful Amendment One. A volunteer with the LGBTQ Center of Durham, Lydia has also assisted with QORDS Camp, professionally volunteering her time as a crisis counselor for youth campers who identify as queer, trans* and/or gender non-conforming.

In 2016, Lydia was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role as Yitzhak in Raleigh Little Theatre’s (RLT) ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’ by Triangle Independent & Community Theatre Awards and has received two RLT Cantey Awards for Best Cameo in ’Hairspray’ (Female Authority Figure) and ’Avenue Q’ (Lucy T. Slut). Other credits include Theatre in the Park’s ‘Hair’ (Sheila), NRACT’s ’The Wedding Singer’ (Grandma Rosie) and ‘Eddie/Dr. Scott’ in Theatre Raleigh’s upcoming production of ’The Rocky Horror Show’ at Cary’s Booth Amphitheater (October 26-27).
