Join us for:
Acceptance and affirmation of other people, in our similarities and in our differences, help create a welcoming atmosphere. A mutually support environment has to have room for self expressions of the aspirations and desires for a meaningful life. The forum participants will discuss key elements that encourage open discussions that go beyond labels to a better understanding of the diversity of life experiences. Change comes through learning more about the lives of others so that we can encourage each other and find more comfort in the community.
Our goal is to act on the call to community healing and reconciliation. Participants will join community leaders, to reflect on considerations and options for getting and staying connected with family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues while discussing the issues.
You are invited to a gathering of the:
Affirming Faith Forum
Friday, December 26, 6:30 to 8:30 pm
At the LGBT Center of Raleigh
324 South Harrington Street, Raleigh, NC
We believe that the call to be a loving and just community is significant to life in our community. This scriptural imperative is especially significant now when anti LGBTQ hate based religious rhetoric threatens our lives and well being. We meet in the strength and love of community, attesting to how shame and guilt are disarmed.
Welcome to a safe place of radical hospitality.
